I want a real politicial cartoonist to draw Bush with a strap-on dildo marked “Family Marriage Amendment” fucking another guy labeled “American Conservative Voter”. Since I can’t bring myself to draw either Bush or American conservative voters, this will have to do.
Bush, whose approval ratings — and those of his whole party — are in the toilet, used his weekly radio address to roll out the GOP’s favorite weapon, homophobia, in its latest incarnation the Family Marriage Amendment. Apparently Bush is about to lead a major initiative to push this hateful and stupid Amendment through, something which (knock on wood) is still almost completely unrealistic. Along with immigrant scapegoating (just happened), flag burning (seriously, it’s coming next), and the display of the Ten Commandments, the Republicans think they can count on the gay marriage issue to generate a startling number of additional Republican votes. Historically, this sad technique has worked all too well.
I’ll put this as simply as I can: If you are in favor of the FMA, then you are either (a) allowing yourself to be exploited by the Republican Party, or (b) you are cynically helping the Republican Party exploit American conservatives.
Or, of course, (c) you hate gay people.

How about a T-shirt with the slogan, “Bush Sodomized Me!” for all the American conservative voters to wear.

whoa… even I, in my liberal late nite induced reverie, am wondering if U should put a private ad out for this cartoonist!
Perhaps Sigmund, or Salvador, or Abby, or David, or someone with more sensitivity than I, (should), to convey why people should be free to be themselves.
YRS TRLY,
